
Professor Emeritus Oladipo O. Akinkugbe { Chairman } (CON MD D Phil FRCP NNOM)
Dr. O. O. Akinkugbe was Professor of Medicine University of Ibadan and Hon. Consultant Physician to the UCH for 30 years. He has made distinct contributions to the higher Education and Tertiary Health Care at the National Level at various times, Foundation chair of JAMB. Vice Chancelor Universities of llorin and ABU Zaria, Pro. Chancellor Uniport, arid Chair UCH Board of Management. Has been visiting Professor of Medicine at Harvard and Oxford and is a recipient of four Honorary Doctorate in Science. the Searle Distinguished Research Award and the Boehringer lngelheim Award of the International Society of Hypertension. He currently serves on a wide range of National amid International Commissions on Health Care and Tertiary Fducation. Professor Akinkugbe has authored many texts, the most notable of which is the joint publication - a Compedium of Clinical Medicine.

Dr Kayode Obembe { Vice Chairman/Chief Executive } (B.Sc.MED Sc., MBBS,FMCOG,FWACS, FIAMN,FAGP, FICS)
Dr Kayode Obembe, is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Chief Medical Director of Christus Specialist Hospital Nigeria Limited. As a former President of National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD), former State Chairman and Vice-President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), he has championed many crusades for the improvement of Health Care Delivery in the country, particularly in Health Care Financing. He is the author of many articles/books related to medical practice in a developing economy; and has been the recipient of many awards both national and international He was appointed Lecturer/Consultant, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Maduguri Teaching Hospital, Bornu State, and later Senior Lecturer Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo in Osun State.
At the National Postgraduate Medical College he was Faculty member, Assistant Secretary and an examiner in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He was a member of the Editorial Board of the College Journal. He is a member of the society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON). Dr. Kayode Obembe has attended many international Conferences in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Ultrasound in Europe, North America, and South-East Asia, including the last International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) in Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia 2006.
He is a member of many International Learned Medical Societies, including the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with headquarters in London, U.K., International Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS) with headquarters in Miami, Florida, and American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) with headquarters in Laurel, Maryland both in United States of America. He runs a Non-Governmental Organisation in partnership with Compassionate Hands International, United States of America, for distribution of drugs to rural communities in Nigeria.<
Dr. Kayode Obembe sits on the Boards of Corporations and Federal Teaching Hospitals i.e. Odua Investment Corporation, National Orthopaedic Hospitals, Igbobi, Yaba, Lagos, Board of Management, University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan and Court of Governors, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan.

Chief Afe Babalola { Legal Adviser } (BSc.,LLB.,BL,OFR, FFPA,FNIALS,FCI ARB., SAN)
Chief Afe Babalola is the Principal Partner, Emmanuel Chambers, with head office at No. 80, Adekunle Fajuyi Road, Adamasingba, Ibadan and branch offices in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Ado Ekiti. . A holder of two University degrees, both of them by private studies. Chief Afe Habalola's full-time education ended at the elementary school, Called to Nigerian Bar in 1964, Chief Babalola went immediately into legal practice and has since then, remained a foremost litigation lawyer with about 30 lawyers now under his able tutelage. His Chambers has produced not less that, 500 lawyers who are today seasoned advocates occupying important professional and political positions in the country. The chamber is also reputed to be the incubator of SANs, Chief Babalola is a seasoned author of law books, an astute newspaper columnist and a priceless essayist. He is a recipient of many chieftaincy titles and honours and is a patron and grand patron of many associations and clubs. Chief Babalola is a humane, generous and pleasant leader, and is the current Pro.Chancellor and Chairman of Council of the University of Lagos. In 2003, he was unanimously voted the best Pro-Chancellor by the N.U.C. while his Governing Council was also adjudged the best University Council in Nigeria.
He has demonstrated keen interest in the health care delivery of Nigerians, and for this, he is held in very high esteem by members of the Medical Profession, He has delivered many lectures on medical jurisprudence to the top echelon of doctors in country, He is particularly interested in the health Insurance scheme.

Alhaji Bashir Tukur { Finance} (B.A. Hons., PGCE)
An accomplished Banker. Trained at Barewa College and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, He has had wide exposure in Industry (Nigeria Tobacco Co. Ltd, Comber Oil Mills) and a stint in the 70s in University Administration as Acting Registrar and Executive Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor, ABU Zaria before settling into Banking Sector. He has at various times been Executive Director of UBA PLC:, First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Managing Director CEO of International Merchant Bank PlC and is currently a Non-Executive Board Director of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Malam Tukur is on the Board of the Nigerian Heart Foundation, Poverty Alleviation Foundation and the Presidential Committee on the National Hospital, Abuja. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and was its vice President 1994-95.

Ebenezer A. lkomi { Health Services } (MBBS FRCOG FWACS FICS)
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist. Trained at the London Hospital, University of London qualifying in 1956, and held several professional training positions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK. He was Senior Consultant in this speciality at the Apapa Health Centre and the Island Maternity Hospital in Lagos for several years before becoming Medical Director and Chief Consultant in charge of O&G at the Saraki-lkomi Group of hospitals in Lagos.
He has taken Rockefeller and Ford Fellowships in various diagnostic aspects of. O&G and in the Population Council in the US, Canada and the West Indies.

EMERITUS PROF E. OLUWOLE AKANDE (Quality Control)
Professor E. Oluwole Akande is Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He was Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ibadan, 1975 to 1987 and at the King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 1987 to 1992.
Professor Akande was Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria, 1978 to 1980; Foundation Provost, College of Medicine, 1980 to 1984 and the first Chief Medical Director of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria, 1978 to 1984.
From 1992 to 2000, Professor Akande was the Programme Manager, responsible for Reproductive Health Research Capacity Strengthening in Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean Regions at the World Health Organization Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. He retired from the services of the WHO at the end of June, 2000. He was Chairman of the WHO Regional Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health Task Force for Africa from its inception in 2002 to 2007 when he completed his tenure.
Professor Akande is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of the United Kingdom and an Honorary Fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of South Africa.
He was conferred with the Nigerian National Honours of “Officer of the Order of the Niger” (OON) by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in December 2003 in recognition of his distinguished contributions to Medical Education and Health Services, especially Reproductive Health, in Nigeria and internationally.< br />
Professor Akande is married to Professor (Mrs.) Victoria Modupe Akande.

REV. BABATUNDE ALA MFR (Social Welfare)
Born on 4 July 1944, he was trained as a teacher at Wesley College, Ibadan, after which he proceed to the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and the University of Toulouse, France where he obtained a honours degree in Modern European Languages, specifically French and German.
After a short stint as a secondary school teacher, he joined the Federal Public Service of Nigeria and served in the Security, Intelligence and Diplomatic Departments. Through all these, he received further academic and professional training and certificates in Diplomacy, International Relations and Comparative Politics, Intelligence Operations, and Strategic Studies. He was a foundation member of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and its first Director of Operations for eight (8) years. His service took him to several countries in all the continents of the World.
By the time of his retirement from service in 1998, after a meritorious service of thirty-five (35) years, he had risen to the pinnacle of fthe public service, and had received many honours and awards for dedication, loyalty, excellence, professionalism, and meritorious service. In 2002,, he received the National Honours of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, Mfr. He is the founder of the Blessed House of the Redeemer Ministries and its Senior Pastor.

Dr. Hyedima Garga Bwala (Customer Relations)
Dr. Hyedima Garga Bwala hails from Gwaski-Marama Sakwa District, Hawul L.G.A of Borno State, Nigeria.
Educationally, he attended and obtained certificates of junior and senior schools at Marama and Waka-Biu from 1955 to 1966. From 1967 to 1982, he attended and obtained certificates of undergraduate and postgraduate schools in Nigeria, USA and the UK-London.
During his youthful period, he was privileged to handle various leadership positions at Academic, Association and Community based levels. This exposure has greatly enabled him to appreciate the complexities of societal norms and values of his immediate environment and the external communities at large. Recently, he became a member of high powered committee on Blue Print for Enhanced Public Sector Performance, Borno State. Nigeria.
Under Borno state civil service from 1977 -1991, he served in the following capacities:- Medical officer, Chief Medical Officer, State Specialist Hospital Maiduguri and Executive Secretary, Hospital Management Board Borno state, later he became the commissioner of Health in the State.
Under Federal Civil Service – University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, he served from 1992-1996 and from 1998 till date in the capacity of Medical Officer (Paediatrics) special grade and rose to the rank of Chief Medical Officer saddled among other things with the following responsibilities:- Co-ordinator, Organizational Retainership, Chairman, intra-moral practice, Chairman, UMTH, N.H.IS.
